December 20, 2008 |
Day 2 of the Thailand National Games in Phitsanoluk saw the pre-judging of the 7 Men Bodybuilding categories.
60kg : Wicheon Chamjumlas from Jantaburi, won this category in last year's National Games, and has a very good chance to win in this category again. His friend, Phanorn Onnim, is in good shape and may deliver an upset.
65kg : Tuay from Buriram and Jak from Pattani are the top contenders in this category.
70kg : This is the most exciting category in this competition. There is Kongthit Hanchaiyuthakorn from Bangkok and member of the Thai international Team; Chang from Korat, winner of the Body Classic category in the Latchford Classic last month; Top coming out for Pattani and the Body Classic winner of the Mr Thailand 2008; Mekhin Aryuwattanamongkol from Lamphun, the runner-up from last year's National Games; and Phan from Bangkok, who makes a comeback after a 3 year absence on the bodybuilding scene. All these men have a chance to win the top spot in this category.
75kg : Udomsak Kotsekhul from Nakornrachasrima and Kittipong Jansawan from Petchburi look to be the favorites to win in this category.
80kg : Nueng from Bangkok shedded a few kilo's since the Latchford Classic last month and looks to be well-positioned to win gold. He has to fend off challenges from Pradit Lelaramwong hailing from Petchaburi and Jetsada Peksantia from Udorntani.
85kg : It is not easy to spot the winner here, but the ever smiling Tong from Pattani looks to have the edge over Pannapop Tiramongkolchai from Bangkok.
90kg : This category only has four competitors, so everyone qualified for the final automatically.
