Region 2 was holding its pre-selection for the 2009 Thailand National Games in Petchaburi.
Bodybuilding and fitness athletes came from central provinces to qualify for the Thailand National Games, including Asian Champions Wanchai Kanchanapimai and Apiporn Chomsomboon. Friday, May 22, was the weigh-in with more than 30 athletes. The finals on Saturday, May 23, were completed within two hours. Arnuphap Alyathanakorn, one of fitness athletes, fell during his routine and got hurt. Fortunately, he appeared to be fine after a checkup at the hospital.
