Khmer Gold: Gifts for the Gods
Douglas Latchford, president of the Thailand Bodybuilding Association (TBBA), is a well-known internationally recognised expert on Khmer art. He once again teamed up with Emma Bunker, member of the Asian Art Department of the Denver Art Museum, to write "Khmer Gold: Gifts for the Gods". This book follows in the footsteps of their earlier work "Adoration and Glory: The Golden Age of Khmer Art", which was published in 2004.
The official book launch was held in Bangkok on Tuesday evening, December 18th, 2007 and was recorded for Thai television. ThaiBody was invited to do coverage as Thai bodybuilding champions Sitthi Charoenrith and Somkhit Sumethowetchakun were showcasing a few of the Khmer gold pieces.
The book "Khmer Gold: Gifts for the Gods" (ISBN 978-1-58886-097-2) is available in Thailand at all B2S and Asia Books stores.
