Thailand National Games 2008 - Day 5

Day 5 of the Thailand National Games in Phitsanoluk saw the final in the remaining six categories.
Men Masters 41-50 yrs : Seksan Sinseng, who helped organize the event in his home town Phitsanlok, saw his months of hard work pay off. He looked sharp and was the just winner of the gold medal. Somsri Turinthaisong from Nontaburi, was his usual funny self on stage. Although the crowd liked him a lot, he only placed fourth.
Men Masters 50 yrs+ : The audience cheered when Phitsanulok's Sa-ing Phuphan was announced the gold medal winner. Chaiwat Deemongkol, the winner of this category in the 2007 National Games, had to be satisfied with second place.
Men Fitness 170cm : Tawatchai Sakunpaisarn, the runner-up from last year, came out on top in this difficult-to-judge category. Second place went to Narongchai Suwan from Lamphun, who did very well in his routine.
Men Fitness 170cm+ : With another gold, Damrongsak Soysri from Chonburi has achieved a grand slam: he won all major fitness competitions this year. His ambition is to compete internationally and with his professional routine, he might be able to do it. Chang from Nakornrachasrima won another silver medal and delegated Chiang Mai's Boonruang Tharek to third place.
Women Fitness 160cm : Nongyao Gosinam delivered and took the gold home to Bangkok. Saovalak Chaiwat, the cheerful girl from Nakornrachasima, shows potential. If she receives good advise and trains hard, she may could be a great athlete in the near future.
Women Fitness 164cm : Bangkok's Nontanatda Ummart won her first gold for a good routine. The surprise silver medalist was Arissala Clongkarn, another girl from Nakornrachasrima.
