Heather Mae French won the pro first contest of her career on Saturday when she edged past Sonia Gonzales to win the 2009 California Pro Figure Championships in Culver City, California.

Gonzales finished as the runner-up, while Kristi Tauti placed third to grab the contests final qualification for the 2009 Figure Olympia
